This is the day which the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Lord God, ruler of the universe,
you have made possible all that we are
and all that we can do.
As I end this day of work,
Let me be thankful for the day and the things I have accomplished.
As I leave my workplace, grant me safe travel home.
Be with me as I leave the world of work and return to the greater world.
give me love to share with others
and help me to show the gospel in the way I live.
As I return to the world outside the workplace, I pray for peace in the world
for tolerance and wisdom in the leaders of the world
and wisdom for those who select the leaders.
Free the people of the world from oppression, by governments, by people, and by national and international corporations.
Help to raise the standards of living for those who do not have enough.
Give me the strength and courage to act as well as pray.
Amen.
